Robert’s unexpected career as a historical adventure novelist probably began when he was a child living in Yorkshire, England but only showed itself rather unexpectedly when he was at a health disadvantage in 1994, but that didn’t stop either of us. Looking back on the last 14 years, during which time I have edited, published and sometimes co-authored his 10 novels, it all seems very surreal to both of us. Three of his novels became bestsellers (Lizzie, Loyalty’s Reward and Loyalty’s Haven) and countless thousands of his fans claim his style to be ‘light, page-turning books that you just can’t put down.’ Many, many readers claim they are simply the ‘BEST books they have ever read!’ We’ve heard it said so many times over the past 13 years we gave up thinking they were merely saying that to make us feel good and are now still simply amazed and attempt to be modestly grateful!!

They put Robert and I under such great pressure   (he loved it) that I found myself producing a book each year for the next 9 years! It was a good thing he discovered he loved writing so much for he became prolific in those early years. Over the last 13 years we have written and produced 10 novels, 2 children’s books and 3 audio books/CDs, so we still have a pretty good average

We have slowed down a bit now … we’re both seniors now so you just have to bear with us! I took 2010/11 to produce eBooks for all our titles and make them available on all formats. If you can’t find them, Smashworks.com has all our ebooks in ALL formats and this is the website where you’ll find the most recently edited copies. (It’s certainly easier to change a mistake in an ebook than in a print copy.)
