I finally give in to temptation and buy a Smart Phone!

I’ve had my Galaxy S2 for 10 days now and basically I love it! There are so many things to learn when you’ve never used a cellphone except to keep contact with your husband and a few family members, very occasionally (I’m in the office most of the time!). My last phone was on an ‘emergency’ plan and cost $15/mo. with no contract. I have steered away from ‘contracts’ because my last one was 9 years ago and I ended up with a rotten phone … yes, the company admitted it years later but all they would do at the time was give me another new, rotten phone that echoed back at the caller. So I stuck it out and rarely used it until the 3 yrs ran out … they lost my business for 9 years and possibly forever.

Then I went with Bell for 9 years under a Pay & Go Plan. My hubbie and I had matching ‘emergency’ phones. That’s what you use when you don’t have money to waste on something you don’t have time to play around with!! Now, it looks like I will be with Bell for the next 3 years!

I have eMail (not my main account), Facebook, Kobo and Kindle ebook reader apps, an 8GB camera and many many more that look really promising. The photo quality is remarkable.

Yes, I am researching a bunch of other apps but haven’t taken the time to figure out how to use most of them yet … Gallery, Picasa, GPS, radio, music. I would really love to be able to play my music on it … all in its own good time!
